South Street Diner’s new neighbors requested city help in forcing the restaurant to close early. Apparently, these people got what they needed from the diner (cheap condos) and now they want to close the place. People, there’s a reason those condos cost half as much as their equivalent in other downtown areas: they’re in a commercial area with a twenty-four-hour diner across the street.
This reminds me of those Upton Street A-holes who bought next to the halfway house, then tried to close the shelter. If they didn’t want to live next to a halfway house, perhaps they shouldn’t have purchased a home next to a halfway house.
